You can call eTELEDOC for urgent or non-urgent medical situations that do not require the physical intervention of a doctor. In case of an urgent situation that requires physical intervention, eTELEDOC calls the 112 service for you.
What options do I have to contact a doctor?
You can contact a doctor by phone call, video or email, using any electronic device - phone, tablet or laptop - with internet access.
What specialties do eTELEDOC doctors have?
The eTELEDOC doctors who interact with you when you have a medical emergency are specialized in emergency medicine. Doctors affiliated with the call center are family doctors.
Why would I call eTELEDOC and not the ambulance service?
With eTELEDOC, you get in touch with a doctor instantly, anytime and anywhere. No more waiting in line, making an appointment, or wondering if a doctor is available in your area. However, if the intervention of an ambulance is necessary, eTELEDOC has direct contact with the Emergency Service 112, calls the 112 service for you and sends your medical information.
Can eTELEDOC medical services be settled by the State Health Insurance Service?
No, eTELEDOC does not have a contract with the Health Insurance Company.
Can I share a subscription with anyone, or does it have to be a family member?
With any of the 'I'm Flexible', 'I'm Safe', 'I'm Safe' or 'Zero Risk' subscriptions you can share the benefits of the subscription with up to 10 people of your choice. They can be family members, friends or colleagues from the office.
Can eTELEDOC send the medical report to the family doctor?
eTELEDOC has no direct contact with your family doctor. However, you will find all your medical documents in your account, so you can show them to your doctor yourself.
Can prescriptions or evidence be issued for sick leave?
Yes, prescriptions can be issued. Certificates for medical leaves are issued later, by the family doctor, based on the prescription issued by the eTELEDOC doctor.
Who are the doctors who consult me?
The eTELEDOC medical team is made up of specialist doctors, accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians. Want to know more about our doctors? You can find details about the whole team here.
How is a consultation conducted?
Once you press the eTELEDOC button, you will be instantly connected to a doctor. He or she will assess your condition and recommend treatment. If you want to see what a consultation looks like, watch the demonstration video here.
Can I choose the doctor who consult me?
No. To ensure that you get help as quickly as possible, you will be directed to the doctor who is available at the time of your call.
Can I get a medical report after an online consultation?
Yes. You have access to the consultation record at any time in your account.
How long does a consultation last?
The length of the consultation depends on your needs and will be determined by the doctor. If the consultation lasts more than 20 minutes, the extra time will be recorded as a second consultation.
